Well, here it is, the long awaited start to tales of my trip to Zim, which, in a nutshell, was awesome. I think it will take a little while for me to transition out of “Vacation Mode” and get used to only having Alexio on text message and internet chat once again.
Now that it’s all over, I’ve been reflecting about all the stuff that happened and trying to figure out what is best to write about. We moved around a lot, but spent most of the time just relaxing, and I got my first ever traffic violation (failure to have white reflectors on the front bumper and 2 missing wheel nuts) and Alexio had to pay a Z$80 fine, which cost us approximately US$1.
Alexio littered the trip with the term “no blogging” – which he used whenever something happened that he didn’t want me to write about. Unfortunately, he over-did it a bit and now I can’t remember what exactly was off limits, so his strategy backfired and I’m writing about whatever I want! (was the traffic violation amongst the off-limits topics?)
For the sake of including photos – and because I’m not sure how long it will take me to get all the postings ready – I’m going to separate the entries.
