My 27th year has been ushered in with a seemingly endless schedule of activities. And I love it.
Thanks to everyone to called, sent emails or very personalized "Princess" egreetings (no need to send the roving troupe of Equadorian troubadour gypsies all the way from Hamilton Uncle T, but a ukelelele playing electrician is always welcome!) It’s always so great to hear from you all! Special thanks to Laura, Elaine and family, and Do and Pops for the awesome birthday gifts!
As I said, it’s been the never-ending birthday. Party #2 was hosted by a new friend of mine named Hawi, and it was awesome. It was held at a huge house that will be turned into a lodge, and he took care of everything, I just showed up and brought some booze. We even had a DJ! There was bbq meat, loud music (no Bon Jovi though, for which Duncan, the DJ, received a stern talking to about. Totally unacceptable!). It was supposed to be a joint party because Hawi turned 28 the following Wednesday but he would share none of the glory. The dance party (complete with light effects) lasted until about 3:30, and then some of us went to our favourite all night dance spot until the sun came up.
It seems the WUSC family never ceases to keep growing, and we welcomed 2 more volunteers, who joined us at the party and were pleasantly surprised by the fun we can have here! Too bad they won’t be living with us in Lilongwe.
