Me too.

Just wanted to send a short message to reassure everyone that I’m fine and that nothing horrible is happening where I am. Promise.

It’s not looking good though, huh? Hopefully the rhetoric will be stopped dead in its tracks once the imminent rains start and all attempts at movement get stuck in the mud. Literally.

After returning to Juba post Zanzibar (followed by an impromptu working holiday in Nairobi*) my security advisor assured me that if war was threatening Juba, we’d be shipped to Nairobi at the first sight of trouble.

Shit, now I don’t know what to hope for.








*it was heaven! Cool evenings! Shopping malls! Cinema! Yummy food! Comfy bed! A friend from home! Her daughter who hasn't quite warmed up to me... yet(!?)
